Join us for a panel discussion composed of campus workers and students struggling against racist exploitation on and off campus. RESISTANCE AND SOLIDARITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST Wednesday, February 25 5-7pm PCB 1300 Join us for a panel discussion featuring Dick Plakin from LA Jews For Peace as he discusses the often-minimized and ignored solidarity among Jews, Christians, Muslims, Arabs, Palestinians, and Israelis, struggling for a multi-racial, anational, adn multi-religious fight against exploitation and injustice in the Middle East. IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR Thursday, February 26 5-7pm PCB 1300 Come participate in a discussion panel composed of IVAW veterans who will share their stories and experiences of the war in Iraq and how they suffered and were exploited as soldiers of this war for profit. | More Info | OAXACA SOLIDARITY TOUR with guest speaker Simon Sedillo Simon Sedillo is a community based human rights film-maker whose work has centered on placing skills, cameras and editing equipment in the hands of communities in resistance so that they may be able to document their own histories and human rights situation. Sedillo has spent the last 6 years documenting and teaching community based video documentation in indigenous communities in Oaxaca, in immig rant communities in the US, and with youth of color across the US.
