More InfoFor the past two decades UC Irvine has out-sourced its service labor in order to make profits. Although over 300 landscaping and food service workers have been in-sourced, or officially hired by UCI, many more continue to work through third parties.

UCI's janitors currently work under ABM/OneSource, on poverty wages, little to no benefits, vacation, or sick days. If hired by the University, the minimum pay would increase by at least 3 dollars and offer better benefits. However, UC administrators have only answered with divisive practices and tactics of intimidation in order to prevent any worker movement on the campus.

We invite you to stand in solidarity with these workers as a panel of them describe their personal experiences working for UCI and as they struggle for their rights.
