Discover UCI Exploitation II
This time around we're doing it right and having the protest on the day of "Discover UCI". I know it's early in the morning, but we'd like to have a strong student presence. If you have your own banners or signs that capture student issues, bring them out. Let's show the newly admitted freshmen what UCI is really all about!
What: "Discover UCI" is an informational program for newly admitted freshmen. The program is intended to make UCI an appealing campus to newly admitted students and their parents while boasting academic achievements and service to the community. However, such a program fails to inform students and community members of rather unappealing occurrences, such as the exploitative conditions of UCI's service workers. Therefore, as responsible community members, we have created a supplemental informational program, "Discover UCI Exploitation," to inform UCI community members and newly admitted students about the unjust outsourcing labor practices on our campus.
When: Wednesday April 14th
Time: 6:50 - 9am
Where: In front of Student Center (parking structure side)
